Renault, the French vehicle manufacturer, introduces the genesis NFT collection.
The firm hopes to bring together crypto aficionados and automotive lovers with this drop while offering distinctive utility to the brand’s followers. Dubbed “genR5” the collection consists of 1,972 generative 3D NFTs that are split into distinct rarity levels.
The most exclusive tokens in the collection are the “R5 Electric”, with only a hundred in circulation. These NFTs give their holders a chance to win raffles for car tests and trial experiences, as well as opportunities to interact with Renault designers, explore prototypes, and get a behind-the-scenes look at car production. The set also includes 160 “R5 Turbo ” NFTs, which entitle owners to free mints for Renault’s next drops. Following that, there are 450 “R5 La Car Van” tokens and 1,262 “R5 TL” tokens. Holders of the latter can enter lotteries for a VIP tour to Renault’s Atelier in Flint, plus a free exclusive party at the Retromobile Show.
Furthermore, every genR5 holder will have access to the latest events and conferences with industry professionals. Individuals will also have the opportunity to co-create and obtain Renault-branded sweatshirts and skateboards.
The collection’s public minting begins on December 15 at 9 p.m. CET on the project’s website. One “R3NLT” NFT costs €100, and buyers can pay in either cash or cryptocurrency.
“Becoming a member of the R3NLT community entails developing a special relationship with the company that provides unique experiences to all fans. And there is no better place to start than with an NFT collection that honors the legendary Renault 5,” said Arnaud Belloni, global chief marketing officer for Renault.
Notably, Renault Group entered the web3 market in November of this year. The business then declared its intentions to create the first automotive industrial metaverse. By monitoring supply chain data and supply flow, the initiative hopes to save the corporation, on average, $600 million by 2025.
