According to the official Tweet made by Animoca chief Yat Siu on April 12, 2022, the acquisition of Eden Games is directed to achieve a bigger objective for the firm. The firm is willing to strengthen its REVV Motorsport cluster with this deal. Coming from Hong Kong, Animoca is looking forward to shifting its focus from traditional gaming solutions to the Metaverse gaming ecosystem by integrating the technology into new as well as the existing portfolio. Engine Gaming and Media sold its majority stake of 96% in Eden Games to digital entertainment firm Animoca for $15.3 million on April 7, 2022.
