Taking pride in being Europe’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, Bitstamp has locked a strategic deal with the U.S professional esports organization, Immortals. With the three-year-long collaboration, Bitstamp has earned the title to work as the official cryptocurrency exchange portal for the gaming firm. The highly-anticipated integration between Immortals and Bitstamp will play a significant role in linking cryptocurrencies with esports users by making them enjoy seamless payment settlements with their favorite crypto coins through the safe trading infrastructure of the exchange.

Interestingly, this is the second collaboration of Bitstamp in the fast-developing esports industry. The news was made public by Immortals via a press conference on February 9, 2022, where it was revealed that the exchange will be one of the founding members of the esports company. The pact will play a significant role in providing widescale exposure of cryptocurrencies to the esports fans while helping them fetch some juicy returns as well.

Earlier, Bitstamp joined hands with London-based Guild Esports and entered into a sponsorship deal worth $6 million with the firm. The official report stated that Bitstamp and Immortals will put in their joint efforts to launch and support a plethora of innovative initiatives to attract customers. One such product is termed Team Bitstamp wherein content creators would act as Bitstamp’s brand ambassadors. The team will shower users with engaging content, amazing crypto giveaways, along with interactive Livestream sessions.

The Immortals Invasion initiative is created to celebrate the forthcoming League of Legends World Championships in North America. The tournament is scheduled for the later part of 2022. A series of vlogs, in-person gaming, and diverse engagements shall be launched by Immortals and the Immortals Progressive League of Championship Series (LCS) team to celebrate the League of Legends community. The final initiative is Immortals LCS Trigger Program which will involve crypto giveaways by Bitstamp exchange. Every time the Immortals will create the first blood in any LSC game, the players will get a fair chance to earn digital currencies.

The CEO of Bitstamp USA, Bobby Zagotta said that the partnership will help to create a more dynamic interface between crypto and gaming. The esports cluster has responded well to the digital evolution. The spearhead added that the sector is the first to support the integration of virtual assets within its diverse ecosystem. The pact will help the company to explore Non-Fungible Tokens and crypto integrations for the customers. The esports industry has witnessed active participation from crypto firms. In September 2021, exchange signed a five-year deal with the U.K’s esports company, Fnatic with an investment of over $15M to become the global cryptocurrency partner of the firm. The popular blockchain solution Tezos entered a deal with France’s esports firm team Vitality to enhance fan engagement.
